Thursday, 9 September 2010

5pm: Early bird drop-off. At 5pm on Thursday (NOT earlier), MSR is allowing LeMons competitors to drop off their cars/trailers and leave them overnight. There is NO Thursday-night camping. The cost to drop off your rig (and not camp) on Thursday is $20. There is no fee for Friday arrivals.

7:30am: Gates open
9am-5pm: Pre-race track testing. Details above
Noon-5pm: Mandatory Friday Tech Inspection. Every car and at least one driver per team must be present for Tech Inspection on Friday. No Saturday Tech will be offered!


Saturday, 11 September 2010
7:30am: Gates open
9:30am: Mandatory drivers' meeting
10:30am-7pm: Race session I

Sunday, 12 September 2010
8:30am: Mandatory drivers' meeting
9am-3pm: Race session II
noon: People's Curse
3pm: Checkered flag
3:30pm: Awards
7pm: Gates close

Lights: Headlights, taillights, and sidemarkers removed or completely taped over
Rear Side and Back Glass: No restrictions
Noise Limit: 92dB @ 50 feet

Overnight Camping: Yes

Pit-Vehicle Restrictions: No motorized two-wheelers
Pit Assignments: First-come, first-crowded-in-like-sardines
Barbecues Allowed: Yes
Running Water: Non-potable only
Bathrooms: Porta-poos throughout paddock, plus permanent bathrooms

Showers: Yes
Electrical Hookups: Very limited
Pit Hours: Dark and quiet after midnight
Fuel Sold On-Site: Yes. 93 and 104 octane available

MSR is a half-hour from downtown Houston on Highway 288, about 13 miles south of the Highway 6 interchange. From 288 South, take the South CR48 (not regular CR48) Exit and head toward that big racetracky-looking thing.
