Race Weekend: 4-5 April 2009

Entry Deadline: 24 January 2009

Late Entries: Considered case-by-case, space permitting 

Track: Carolina Motorsports Park, Kershaw SC; 1.1-mile road course (West Course)

Friday, 3 April '09
7am: CMP Gates Open
8am-4pm: CMP Organized Track Testing (see details below)
Noon-4:30pm: Mandatory Tech Inspection (All cars MUST be inspected on Friday)

5-8pm: BS Judging in downtown Camden SC

5-9pm: LeMons Block Party in downtown Camden SC


Saturday, 4 April '09
8am: Gates Open
10am Drivers' Meeting (Mandatory):
11am Race Start
7:30pm: End of Session I
 
Sunday, 5 April '09
8:30am Drivers' Meeting (Mandatory)
9am-11am: Race Session II
11am-noon: CMP Quiet time - no cars on track
11:30am: People's Curse
Noon-4pm: Race Session III
4pm: Checkered Flag
4:30pm: Awards Ceremony
7pm: Gates Close

Pre-Race Track Testing: Entry form at www.turnonetrackevents.com or www.carolinamotorsportspark.com (under Turn One Track Day heading).  Cost is $190 if registered two weeks prior to event, $225 after. THE CARS 

Lights: Headlights, taillights, and sidemarkers removed or fully taped

Side and Rear Glass: Keep it or toss it, your choice

Noise Limit: 92dB @ 50 feet

 

PITS & PADDOCK 

Overnight Camping: OK, $50 per occupied RV (covers the whole weekend)
Vehicle Restrictions: None--plenty of grass parking
Pit Assignments: Pick a spot and plunk down, already
Barbecues Allowed: Yes, but well contained and monitored grilles only, propane fuel preferred. (Some areas of the facility have high fire danger in dry weather.)
Running Water: Yes. Showers, even
Bathrooms: Multiple permanent assorted Porta-Stankys

Electrical Hookups: Yes

Pit Hours: Just be polite to the neighbors

Fuel Sold On-Site: 100-octane minimum

Dead Cars: Complete, rolling corpses can be left behind Sunday
