GENERAL 

Race Weekend: 12-13 September 2009

Entry Deadline: 4 July 2009

Late Entries: Considered case-by-case, space permitting 

Track: Carolina Motorsports Park, Kershaw SC (1.1-mile "West Course" road course)

Friday, 11 September '09
7am: Gates Open
8am-4pm: CMP Organized Track Testing (see details below)
12 Noon-5pm: Mandatory Friday Tech Inspection (Every car and at least one driverper team MUST be present for Tech Inspection on Friday--no Saturday Tech will be offered!)
5:30pm:Palmetto Motorsports/Turn One Track Events "Intro to Racing" class. Voluntary (but highly recommended) basics class for first-timers and anyone else smart enough to realize he should have a tuneup. The90-minute class covers track safety, flagging, passing, driving skills, pit in/out rules, etc. Cost is $30 per person. THE CARS 

Lights: Headlights, taillights, and sidemarkers removed or fully taped

Side and Rear Glass: No restrictions

Noise Limit: 92dB @ 50 feet

 

PITS & PADDOCK 

Fuel Rules: Designated spaces along hot-pit wall only. No driver in car during fueling, absolutely no other work allowed in fuel area--MINIMUM TWO-HOUR PENALTY for breaking any fueling rule. At least two crew members present in full Nomex at all times, with team's extinguisher handled and ready.

Overnight Camping:
Paddock camping allowed
Vehicle Restrictions: None--plenty of grass parking
Pit Assignments: Pick a spot and plunk down, already
Barbecues Allowed: Yes, but well contained and monitored grilles only, propane fuel preferred. (Some areas of the facility have high fire danger in dry weather.)
Running Water: Yes. Showers, even
Bathrooms: Multiple permanent assorted Porta-Stankys

Electrical Hookups: Yes

Pit Hours: Just be polite to the neighbors

Fuel Sold On-Site: 93-octane minimum

Dead Cars: Complete, rolling corpses can be left behind Sunday
