Friday, 22 May '09
7am: Gates Open
9am-5pm Reno-Fernley Organized Track Testing (details below)
noon-5pm: Mandatory Friday Tech Inspection (Every car and at least one driver per team MUST be present for Tech Inspection on Friday--no Saturday Tech will be offered!)
Saturday, 23 May '09
8am: Gates Open
10am: Drivers' Meeting (Mandatory)
11am-7:30pm: Race Session I
Sunday, 24 May '09
9:30am: Drivers' Meeting (Mandatory)
10am-3pm: Race Session II
noon: People's Curse
3pm: Checkered Flag
3:30pm: Awards Ceremony
7pm: Gates Close
Pre-Race Track Testing
Reno-Fernley Raceway will be holding a Friday test day for LeMons cars. They'll charge you $200 for one car and driver plus $50 for each additional driver. For more info or to pre-register your team, contact Jeremy at Reno-Fernley Raceway (775.575.7217 or jeremy@reno-fernleyraceway.com).
THE CARS
Lights: Headlights, taillights, and sidemarkers removed or fully taped.
Side and Rear Glass: No restrictions.
Noise Limit: 92dB @ 50 feet.
PITS & PADDOCK
Overnight Camping: Camping in paddock allowed. Fill your RV water tank at one of the truck stops in town--there's almost no power or water at the track. The paddock officially opens Friday morning (see the schedule above). If you need to roll in on Thursday, overnight parking is allowed in the Oval Track Parking Lot on the Reno-Fernley Raceway property.
Vehicle Restrictions: Lunar landers not allowed. Idiots doing dumb things on bikes and ATVs not allowed. Otherwise, knock yourself out.
Pit Assignments: First come, first served.
Barbecues Allowed: Well contained and monitored grilles only; propane preferred.
Running Water: If that tank in your RV is full, sure...
Bathrooms: Multiple permanent + assorted Porta-Stankys.
Electrical Hookups: Very limited; bring a generator if you're going to be Sawz-Alling.
Pit Hours: Just be polite to the neighbors. The gates close at midnight.
Fuel Sold On-Site: VP 100 unleaded and VP 110 unleaded race fuel.
Dead Cars: Be prepared to bring them home.

Weather: Probably clear and mild. The average high for late May is in the 70s, though back in '59 it rained a half-inch on the 23rd. In any case, watch out for tumbleweeds.

DIRECTIONS
Reno-Fernley Raceway is located in Fernley NV about 30 miles east of Reno NV. Map.
From Reno:
Take Interstate 80 East 30 miles to Fernley Exit 46.
Turn right of the off-ramp and follow the road to 95A (at the stop light) and take a right.
The track will be 5 miles down on the right.
From Carson/Tahoe Area:
Take Highway 50 East from Carson City.
Follow 50 to Silver Springs.
Turn Left on 95A.
The track will be 10 miles down the road on the left.
