Track: Carolina Motorsports Park, Kershaw SC; 1.1-mile road course (West Course)

CMP-Organized Open-Track Testing (see details below): 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
LeMons Tech Opens: 1:00 pm
Anal-Retentive-Early-Nutjob Check-In: 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Anal-Retentive-Early-Nutjob Tech Inspection: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Saturday 26 July '08
Gates Open:  8:00 am
Check-In Continued: 8:00 am - 10:30 am (NO CHECK-INs PAST 10:30!)
Driver's Meeting (MANDATORY): 11:00 am
Drivers in Cars: 11:30 am
Race Start: noon
End of Session I: 7:30 pm
Beer, Beer, Beer: 7:30.01 pm

Sunday 27 July '08
Gates Open: 7:30 am
Driver's Meeting (MANDATORY): 8:15 am
Race Session II Start: 8:30 am
People's Curse Ceremony: noon
Checkered Flag: 3:30 pm
Cleanup, Band-Aids, More Beer: 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Awards Ceremony: 4:00 pm

PRE-RACE TRACK TESTING

This is offered and organized by CMP's Turn One Track Events staff, not LeMons. We're just stoked that they're doing it, since it means that you won't notice how disorganized we are Friday morning....

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Price: $225 per car
Track Time: Five sessions @ 20 minutes each

THE CARS 

Lights: Headlights, taillights, and sidemarkers removed or fully taped

Side and Rear Glass: Keep it or toss it, your choice

Noise Limit: 92dB @ 50 feet

 

PITS & PADDOCK 

Overnight Camping: OK, $50 per occupied RV (covers the whole weekend)
Vehicle Restrictions: None--plenty of grass parking
Pit Assignments: Pick a spot and plunk down, already
Barbecues Allowed: Yes, but well contained and monitored grilles only, propane fuel preferred. (Some areas of the facility have high fire danger in summer.)
Running Water: Yes. Showers, even
Bathrooms: Multiple permanent + assorted Porta-Stankys

Electrical Hookups: Yes

Pit Hours: Just be polite to the neighbors

Fuel Sold On-Site: 100-octane minimum

Dead Cars: Complete, rolling corpses can be left behind Sunday

Closest Airports: Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) and Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE)

Weather: Clear and mild, or muggy and miserable, or rain alternating with shine...who the hell knows? It's the Carolinas in July.
