Friday 14 August '09
7am: Gates Open
Morning & Afternoon: Buttonwillow-Organized Track Testing (details below)
Noon-5pm: Mandatory Friday Tech inspection (Every car and at least one driver per team MUST be present for Tech Inspection on Friday--no Saturday Tech will be offered!)
Saturday, 15 August '09
8am: Gates Open
10am: Drivers' Meeting (Mandatory)
11am: Race Session I Start
8pm: Race Session I End
Sunday, 16 August '09
8am: Drivers' Meeting (Mandatory)
8:30am: Race Session II Start
10:30am: People's Curse
1:30pm: Checkered Flag--Race Session II End
2pm: Awards Ceremony
6pm: Gates Close
PRE-RACE TRACK TESTING
Buttonwillow will conduct an open test day with specific LeMons groups interspersed. Check with Buttonwillow's front office (661.764.5333) for times, details, and prices.
THE CARS
Lights: Headlights, taillights, and sidemarkers removed or fully taped
Side and Rear Glass: No restrictions
Noise Limit: 92dB @ 50 feet
PITS & PADDOCK
Overnight Camping: Camping in Paddock okay. There are 48 RV hookups spaces, doled out first-come/first-servced.
Vehicle Restrictions: Don't be an idiot with pit vehicles
Pit Assignments: First come, first served.
Barbecues Allowed: Yes, but only after race hours
Running Water: Yes, outside restrooms
Bathrooms: Three permanent, one with showers
Electrical Hookups: Some
Pit Hours: Just be polite to the neighbors
Fuel Sold On-Site: Yes. The onsite fuel station will be open all weekend. It's self serve, credit card activated, and spits out Sunoco 91 and 100 unleaded plus 110 leaded.
Tire Shop: There's a full service onsite tire shop that sells racing tires - so if you need mounting services, you just might be in luck.
Race Supplies/Buttonwillow Swag: Buttonwillow's on-site gift/race shop has some competition supplies and assorted track-branded swag.
Dead Cars: Be prepared to bring them home
