basics

THE GATE: All pre-registered drivers and crew are on the gate list, and receive a paddock wristband good for the whole weekend. Non-registered participants are able to purchase paddock passes at the gate.

THE PADDOCK: We typically do not assign paddock parking spaces. While you can pretty much set up camp wherever you want, we will crack down on you if you're taking up too much space.

ZONES: Once you're parked, you'll need to visit our four check-in zones. They are: Tech and BS, Comp Licenses, Transponders, and Yellow Envelopes. You don't need to visit the zones in order—though we do recommend going to Tech and BS first to maximize your time to fix any problems that may pop up in tech.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO RACE: After completing the zones, your team should have:

1. Driver wristbands for all drivers.

2. A "Tech OK" sticker on your race car's windshield.

3. A "Helmet OK" sticker on all of your drivers' helmets.

4. A transponder to record your car's laps.

tech and bs

What's Needed: Your race car, a tech sheet that has been filled out by your team captain, all of your team's driving gear (suits, helmets, gloves, and shoes), any documentation proving your $500 claim, at least one team representative.

What Happens: You pull your race car in, and all of its safety setup is inspected. Your driver gear will also be inspected at a separate table—all legal helmets will get Helmet OK stickers. Once you've passed tech, proceed to BS inspection. After BS, your tech sheet should have a team captain signature, a tech inspector signature, and a ruling from the BS judges. Bring the completed sheet to the Yellow Envelope Zone for your Tech OK sticker.

yellow envelopes

What's Needed: A tech form completed with a team captain signature, a tech inspector signature, and a value from the BS judges.

What Happens: Give us the form, and we give you your team's yellow envelope. The envelope includes your car's Tech OK sticker, which should be placed on the driver's side top corner of your car's windshield. Also inside are swag vouchers, a People's Curse ballot, a schedule of events, a list of local services, and a camping permit if applicable.

comp licenses

What's Needed: All drivers that will be racing that weekend. Drivers can come up individually.

What Happens: Give us your name, and show us your current and valid street driver's license. All pre-registered, pre-licensed, and pre-paid drivers will be on our list. If you're on the list, you get a driver wristband good for the whole weekend. Late additions can pay for driver and license fees here.

transponders

What's Needed: One team representative, a credit card you can leave as collateral for the whole weekend.

What Happens: If you signed up and paid for a transponder rental in advance, you just need to provide us with contact info and a credit card (kept as collateral until you return the transponder). If you brought your own transponder, check in at the transponder table to verify we have the correct number on file.
